*To make a Spell Check, roll 1D20, if you roll under your magic stat (usually Will), you pass the check. Make a Spell Check whenever you use magic. Some spells have consequences for failure! 

*Magic-wielding characters begin with 2 random spells, which they may use once per day and must sleep to recharge. If you are using the Chaos Magic rule, when a spell is used, replace it with another random spell at the beginning of a new day.       Characters gain +1 spell whenever they advance.
